The Quiet Break

No one saw
the moment it ended.

There was no fight,
no final words.

Just a small shift
inside my chest

when I realized
I had been holding us
together alone.

Growth

Growth rarely announces itself.

One day
you simply notice

the things that once
kept you awake at night

no longer
have your attention.

Unsaid

Some heartbreaks
never become stories.

They stay

in the quiet places
of your life

where only you
know

what almost happened.

Distance

Healing is strange.

You don’t feel stronger.

You just notice

that the person
who once had access
to every part of you

no longer knows
how to reach you.

After

I thought closure
would come with answers.

Instead
it arrived quietly

the day I realized
I no longer needed them.
